Mr George Priest reports for week ending 22nd March, 1890 : Wheat has advanced a little during tbe week, and may be quoted for prime tuscan, 2s 8d *o 2s 9d; velvet and pearl, 2s 7d to 2s 8d; red chaff to 2s 7d. Oats—Scarcely so firm as last week, but there are buyers for all coming to hand at the following figures, viz., Canadians, Is sd; tartars, Is 5d to Is 6d ; danish, Is 2d to Is 3d; sparrowbills, Is 4d. Barley—l have enquiries for barley, delivery about the middle of April. To-day's prices: 2s 6d to 2s 9d for malting, no enquiry for milling. Peas—Prussian blues, 3s per bushel, f.o.b. Potatoes Derwents, if ripe, £3, f.0.b., sacks extra; kidneys, demand limited.
