THE NEW ELECTORAL DISTRICTS

Amongst those erased are Rodney. Corotaandtl, one cf the Frunklynp, Wnipa, Taranr.ki, Foston, Manawatu, Woodvil'e, Motueka, Kumara, Cheviot, Linwood, St A'bsna, Sydenham, Akaroa, Rangitata, Gladstone, Waihtmo, Dunstan, Wm'kaia, Hokotioui, Peniusula, and Caverebam. The boundaries will be gazetted to-dhy, but t!;e maps will not be ready till next week. The new electoral district of Tiumu comprises that portion of the Levels riding of the County of Geraldine which is bonnded on the north and north-west by the Opihi river, and by Stonyer'a ro-id to the railway line, thence by the railway Jin9 to the road forming eastern boundary of section 14449, thence by that road in a westerly direction to the road at the northern boundary of eecticn 13782, thence by the last mentioned road, and its continua tion p«st 15095 and 15879 to Tycho road, and on the south-west and west by Tycho road and the ro«d passing Clareaont and Fairview poet offices to Otipua creek, and by Otipua creek to the sea. This district also includes the borough of Timuru. Waimate comprises the counties of Waimate and lie Mackenzie, and th;it portion of the Levels riding, county of Geraldine, wh>ch is situate south of Tycho road, and the road running eouth-e»sierly past Olaremont and Fairview post offices, to Otipua creek and south of the present Gladstone electoral district. Tnis district includes also the borough of Waimate. Geraldine comprises the whole of the connty of Geraldine except that portion of tlie Levels riding situate south of the Opihi river east of Stonyer's road and south of the road running westerly from sectioo 14,449 to the northern boundary of section 13,782, and south of the road running westerly from that seoiion past ssctions 15,095 and 15,879 to Tycho road, and south of the northern boundary of the present Waimate Electoral District from Tycho road to the C-.ve railway station, and excepting that portion of the Temuka riding which is situate between the Rangitata and Orsri riveis and east of the railway line. This district includes the town districts of Arowbenua, Tenauka, and Geraldine. Ashburton comprises the ridings of Mount Somers, Rangitata, and Ashbnrton, of the county of Ashburton, a portion of the Upper Ashburton riding, a portion of the riding of Wakanui, and that DOJiion of the Temuka riding of the county of Gera'dine between the Rangitata and Orari rivers. This district includes also the borough of Ashborton and town districts of Tinwald and Hanopstead. The Electoral Commissioners notify that written objections to the new boundaries will be received up to April 21st.
