Auckland, March 15. William Hunter, aged thirty, slipped on the pavement in Wellesley street last night, was taken to the hospital, and died from a fractured skull. Wellington, March 15. The body found floating in the harbour on Thursday has been identified as to at of Hugh Gallagher, who was sentenced to ten days’ imprisonment at a recent sitting‘of the Supreme Court for attempting to commit suicide at Mastertou. When discharged from gaol on Wednesday he appeared perfectly sane. Deceased was a single man and had a brother at Oamaru. Dunedin, March 15. Attne City Court Colin McLaehlan was charged with attempted erimnal assault on Mrs Cameron of Mos»iel, but after hearing the evidenee°the Bench concluded that she was a consenting party, and dismissed the information. . ? et Q‘ Rodow, a seaman, who reeeiyed injuries to his spine while walking on Rattray street wharf on January 15th has died in the hospital.
