Athletic. —At the Wellington Amateur Sports Meeting on Saturday, H. J. Batger put up a record for the 120 yards hurdl 0. The distance was chained, and three watches were put on the event. Gore, with 20 yards start, was sent as pace inaker, but at the finish Bitger buried him, and completed the distance in 15 3-sth sec. Two watches made it the time mentioned, while the third was onefifth above it. The weather was fine, with a light wind against the runner.
