GERALDINE DOMAIN BOARD.
A meeting of this board was held on Tuesday evening. Present— Messrs ”W, S. Maslin (chairman), J. Mundell, N. Dunlop, A, Sherratt, A, White, and J. Williams. Mr White, on behalf of the Q-eral-dine Literary Institute, applied for the use of the small park, and the right to charge for admission to the same, on April 17th next. —Granted on the
usual terms. The matter of the rent of small park leading into the bush park was again brought up.—ln reply to a question, the clerk stated that the money was still unpaid.—lt was decided to
enforce the resolution passed at the previous meeting, and wire up the gates unless the rent were paid. fome very strong complaints were received as to the way the small trees
in the park were being broken down by the boys climbing them. —It was Jfcecided to take very stringent mea■leures to put a stop to such destruction. With that end in view, it was decided that the police should be communicated with, and that any member of
the board finding boys in the trees should take their names with a view to prosecuting them. The sum of £8 was passed for payment off the loan due to the Town Board. The meeting then terminated.
