TERRIBLE COLLERY ACCIDENT.

London, Feb. 7. By a colliery explosion at Newport in Wales, three hundred miners have been entombed.

Feb. 8.

A shocking colliery sccident happened in tbe Newport mine, in Wales. ".Scores of bodies have been seen, but the rescue parties are unable to reach them. The majority of those rescued were seriously injured. The explosion was heard for miles around. Those bodies which have been recovered are dreadfully mangled. There was a tearful scene at tbe mouth of the mjne as soon as the news of the accident was confirmed. Later. So far 160 bodies have been recovered. Two hundred miners have been rescued.
