GERALDINE DOMAIN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of this board was held on Tuesday evening last. Present— Messrs W. S. Maslin (chairman), A. White, J, Williams, A. Sherratt, and N. Dunlop. COEREaPONDENCE. A letter was received from Mr J. Aztken, again asking for compensation for grass damaged.—The board decided they coaid entertain no such request. CATTLE IN B*SH PARK. The overseer was instructed to impound on the following day the cattle which had not been removed from the bush park by the lessee. Some of the members spoke warmly about the cattle having been allowed to
remain in so long, and it was stated that cattle in the bush kept a groat many people from using it for picnicking purposes. DAMAGE TO PARK. It was decided to write to the Commissioner of Waste Lands, Christchurch, pointing out the damage done to the bush by the strong nor’-west winds, and that the board went to a large expense, and are now heavily in debt, owing to having fenced the bush in order to protect it, and have no funds, and asking for a grant for
the purpose of planting a belt of trees on the nor’-west side. RENT ACCOUNTS. .Two accounts for rent being overdue the clerk was instructed to take out summonses for the same if not paid within seven days.
