WIRTH BROS' CIRCUS.
There was a crowded attendance at the above circus last evening in Temuka. We have not time in this issue to particularise the various features of it, but we may say that it is an excellent circus, the riding being the best we have seen in the colony. Owing to the management not providing programmes, we are unable to name those deserving of special mention, Two young ladies rode splendidly, and performed many wonderful feats on horseback. Three little boys did a contortion act splendidly, and Mr St. Leon made an excellent clown, off and on horseback. Some of the horses, especially those handled by Mr P. Wirth, were marvellously welltrained, and performed with extraordinary intelligence. The circus is, taken all round, one of the best, if not the best, that has visited Temuka. They left this morning for Ashburton, where they will open this evening.
