THE WEST END SCANDAL.
London, Jan. 16. The trial of Parkep, editor of the North London Press, for libol in connection with the West End scandal takes pl->ee to-day. Lord Euston denies everything, and adheres to his statement before the magistrate that he went to the house under the impression tlißt he was going to see an exhibition of posses plastiques. The charge of criminal libel preferred by Lord Euston against Mr Parkes, editor of the North London Press, for connecting his name with the Wpst End scandal, is proceeding. The evidence in support of tbo plpa of justification is now being tendered by the defence. Witnesses for the defence swore that Lord Euston frequented the bouse in which the offences are alleged to huve been committed. The judge will sum up to-morrow,
