G. Wills’ house at Sheffield, formerly the Malvern Hotel, was burned at on with a handfnl of earth, thrown on 5 a.m. on Saturday. The building was insured for £3OO, Weir Bros.’ flaxmill at Waihola, Otago, was destroyed by fire on the morning of Christmas Day. The damage is estimated at £9OO. The exhibit of the Moagiel Woollen Company at the New Zealand Exhibition has been sold for £4OOO, The Marlborough Daily Times, the Blenheim morning paper, has suspended publication owing to financial troubles,
