The lad Linden who was struck on the head at the Rangiora Salvation Army barracks is in so critical a condition that his deposition is to be taken. Hslloway’s Ointment and Puls.— Diseases of tho Boweis.—A remedy, which has been tested and proved in a thousand different ways, capable of eradicating poisonous taints from ulcers and healing them up, merits a trial of its eapaeity for extracting the internal corruptions from tho bowels. On rubbing Holloway’s Ointment repeatedly on tho abdomen, a rash appears, and as it thickens tho alyine irritability subsides. Acting as a derivative, tbo ointment draws to the surface, releases the tender intestines from all acrid ma teia, and prevents inflammation, dysentery, and piles, for which blistering was the old-fashioned, though succeasfu 1 , treatment, row from its painfulnoss fallen into disuse, the discovery of this Ointment having proclaimed a remedy possessing equally derivative, yet perfectly painless, powers.
