THE LATE CHAMPION SCULLER.
( Sydney, Dec. 14. I The funeral of Harry Senile, the renowned sculler, took place this afternoon, and was probuLPy the largest ever seen in this colony. It is estimated that fully two hundred thousand persons thronged the streets. The crush while the cortege passed along was so great that traffic was entirely suspended, and many persons narrowly escaped serious injury. Ali (he influential business places were draped with flags of crape in memory of the deceased, for whom great respect was entertained. 'ihe pall-bearers included the leading senders of Australis, viz. :—Beach, Kemp, Laycock, Neilson, Stansbury, Rush, Trickett, Matlerson (Searle’s trainer), Stephenson, and McLean. The coffin was covered with wreaths sent from #ll parts of Australia, and Canadian visitors aiso paid their last respects to the deceased by sending beautiful wreaths. All the leading citizens of the colony followed the remains to the cemetery,
