A four-roomed unoccupied house at Dunedin, the property of the Hon. W. H. Reynolds, was burned down at 5 a.m. on Sunday, A house in course of construction at Mount Albert, Auckland, by Davis, to the order of Montgomery, was destroyed by fire. There was a building risk for XHOO on the premises in the Royal office. On Friday morning a fire broke out in the Bay View Boarding-house, Wellington, owned and occupied by Mr Egan. The building, being an old one, was completely gutted, and, as the flames spread rapidly, the lodgers were not able to save anything.
