THE LABOR DISPUTES.
London, Nov. 21. Ihe dockers’ executive have issued a circular, urging the men to, work better, The General Steam Navigation Company have laid up five of their steamers owing to the action of the dock laborers. Nov. 22. Dockers’ unions are being formed in every part with a view to prevent the trade of London being diverted, Nov. 23. The directors of the English;, and coastwise companies threaten to work their vessels at the colonial wharves unless the demands of the laborers cease. The latter threaten to block the colonial steamers if this action is taken, but it will not affect the steamers carrying mails, The Dockers’ Onion are organising a board of arbitration to deal with all matters in dispute between themselves and the dock companies. The directors of the latter express themselves in favor: of the board. Amsterdam, Not. 21. A sailor’s strike is impending here t similar to that at Rotterdam.
