STOCK CONFERENCE.

Melbourne, Nov. 1

The International Stock Conference was opened to-day, Mr Charles Myers, member for Dandas in the Victorian Assembly, was chosen chairman. The questions being discussed include regulations for the admission of foreign stock into the Australian colonies, quarantine restrictions, diseases of stock, and the best means of eradicating the rabbits. The first question discussed was that of scab, and it was resolved to request the New Zealand Government to take more stringent meiurea to cleanse the flocks in that country.
