CHRISTCHURCH STOCK MARKETS. At tb®’ Addington Yards on Wednesday; owing to their beihg no sale next week, the entry was unusually large, there being an enormous number of fat sheep yarded. All other sorts of stock were equally well represented, except store sheep. Fat Cattle—The market- was' well supplied with fat cattle, most of which, however, were not of very good quality. Late values were fully maintained, and really prime beef made from 19s 6d to 225. per 1001 b, while inferior*went at from 16s Sdito lOsiper 100lb;‘ i ■ Fat Sheep— About double the usual entry. The quality all round was of an extremely, mixed, nature,' but good sorts were prominent both in the case of crossbreds and. merinos. At the start late rates Were fully maintained, but towardsthe finish a drop of from 6d to Is a head was noticeable. Best mutton may be quoted at 2d, and inferior from Ud to Hd. A magnificent pen ot crossbred ewes and wethers, first prize-takers at the Leeston Show, fetched 245. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company sold for Mr A. M. Clark, of Lauriston farm, 160 crossbred ewes at 19s 3d ; F, C. Tabart sold for Mr J. Page, 31 crossbred wethers (shorn) at 11s Id, 29 crossbred ewes at 9s 9d.

Lambs—The largest entry to hand that has been received this season and prices dropped slightly. Quotations ranged from 6s 9d to 12s, _A , Pigs—A> moderate entry, with blit few pens' : pf superior sorts. Secondrate and store pigs were subject to a slight decline, but the, few good baconers sold at fair prices.
