The following is the Cora Exchange report for the week ending Friday, Oct. 25th, 1889: — N|oy notarial developments have taken place in grain during the week, all cereals averaging last week’s values, while transactions have been few. London quotations for wheat have not as yet eftsoled the local market, and it is very doubtful whether any substantial alteration for the better will occur for the remainder of the present season. Oats continue fairly firm* at’ lower rales, and holders require considerable persuasion to part at these prices. Barley is unaltered, and demand nominal. A. slightly weaker tone is observable in potatoes,; cables from Sydney being adverse to shipping at present fates.; .Beans and peas have met with some enquiry at current rates, but stocks ore • nearly ex-’ hausted, and not much business is likely to take place in these till the new season’s: crop is gathered. Grass seeds tail to gain; "attention owing to spring sowing being cow almost completed. Dairy produce is, difficult to place at anything like remunerative prices, and values unaltered. The following are the week’s quotations:— Wheat—Prime tuscan, 3s 4d toSabd'J pearl, 3s to Ss Id ; hunters, 2a ltd. ! Oats— Milling, 2a 6d to 2a 7d ; short feed, 2s 4d, ; . ■ ■ Barley—Prime malting, 3s 6d ; medium, - .. 3d. vs a • Peas—Prussian Blues (true), 3* 9 L , Ryegrass —Town machine dressed, 4a 3d to 4s 6d ; farmers’ lines, 3a to 3s 6d. ' j Potatoes—9os to 95a at country stations. Dairy Produce Butter, 41 to 6d j cheese, 3jd to 4d. The above prices are those paid to farmers for delivery, f.0.b., sacks extra. ( Potatoes excepted.
