Louis Eohn, a German, aged 60, was found dead in his bed at his residence, Manukau, on Tuesday. : The collection of art exhibits by Scottish artists for the exhibition number 43 oils and 25 water colours.
Mr Letm, Under-Secretary of the Native Department, Sir F. Whitaker, and a number of police, have left Auckland for Rotorua. In banco at Wellington on WednesWilham Charles Overton was called to show cause why he should not be fined for discharging the functions of a solicitor without being entitled to do so. The particular offence was in connection with the filing of a motion for probate of a will. His Honour said Mr Overton had made himself liable to a fine of £SO and he felt that he must inflict the fine. However, he allowed the matter to stand over till next sitting to enable Mr Overtoq to appear,
