Mr U. H. Cotton, son of the manager ! of the Union Bank at Lyttelton, has died of typhoid fever contracted at one of the bays. The Hon. W. Robinson's herses, including Chain Shot, Exchange, Merrie England, etc., will be sold in a fortnight. The Grown Brewery's malthouse at Christchurch caught fire on Thursday night, while drying sawdust for use at the Belfast Freezing WorHs. The fire was soon extinguished. About 1000 bushels of malt were damaged. ,
