ENGLISH MARKETS. Londow, , August 10. At Friday’s auction Australasian tallow, medium mutton, realised 26s 3d; beef, 24s 3d; best muttdn, 27s 6d to 28s ; beef, 27s to 27s 6d. The English wheat market is steady; the Continental is unchanged; the American is changing a little for the worse. New Zealand wheat, long berried, is quoted at an average of 38s 6d; on passage, 355. New Zealand hemp is ruling at £2B 5s to £2B 10s. Three months bills are quoted at 2f. August 18. The Antwerp wool sales will take place between August 27th pud September 4th.. Seventeen thousand bales of Australian wool have arrived, and one thousand more are on the way. Ox hides, The English wheat market is dull, the Continental inactive, and the American steady. Australian flour averages :275. Australian wheat ex warehouse, 40s; New Zealand long berried, 38s 6d; market quiet. Sugar, German beet, 18s 9d; Java, ditto, 21s. Frozen mutton, s£d; beef, no change for some days, At auction, 500 bales of New Zealand hemp were sold at from £22 10s to £2B 10s. Eleven hundred cases of Kauri gum have been sold at from 5s to 8s advance. Tallow—Medium mutton, 26s 6d; beef, 24s 6d. The arrivals of wool to date are 215,C00 bales; sent forward, 43,C0D.
