DUNEDIN STOCK MARKET.
At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday the following business was transacted : Fat Cattle—2Bs head yarded, but half were little better than threequarter fat. The demand for best pens was active at fully last week's quotations, but for other qualities there was a dragging sale at little better than store rates. Prime bullocks brought from £8 to £lO 7s 6d ; medium, 6d to £7 10s ; light £4 to £5 10s; best cows, £6 to £7 10s; medium cows, £4 10s to £5 10s; aged and inferior, £1 10s to £3 10s.— Messrs Wright, Stophenson and 00. sold for Mr A. Grant (Willowbank) 7 steers at from £6 to £5 10s. Fat sheep—2293 penned, the number being rather in excess of requirements. The sale opened at fully last week's quotations, but as it progressed a slight decline in values was perceptible, more especially in the case of ewe mutton. This week's quotations are as follow : Best crossbred wethers, 14s to 15s 9d; medium do do, 12s to 13s Gd ; light do do, 10s 6d to lis 6d; best crossbred ewes, lis 6d 40 14s; medium do do, 10s to lis; ; light do do, 8b to 9s; extra prime merino wethers, 12s to 15s; ordinary do do, 7s to 10s 6d ; inferior do do, 3s Gd to 4s.—Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. sold for Mr W. Grant (Elloughton) 60 crossbred ewes at £roj£ lis 6d to 10s 6d.—Meesrs
Donald Reid and Co. sold for the same vendor, 60 do at 10s 9d. Fat Lambs —Ten sold at 10s each. Pigs—l 74, principally prime grainfed bacon pigs, came forward to an excellent sale; prices all through showing a slight advance on quotations of a week ago. Extra heavy hacon pigs sold at from 54s to 62s ; ordinary do do, at from 42s to 525; light do do, at from 35s to 40s ; porkers, at from 21s to 80s; suckers, at from 6s to 10s.
