STARTLING ASSERTIONS.
London, May 15. The widow of Mr Irving Bishop, the thought reader, asserts that her husband was dissected while in a cataleptic trance, and adds that he had frequently lain in a state of catalepsy for a period of fortyeight hours. Mrs Bishop states that the autopsy was performed before his friends and telatives were able to interfere, The will of the deceased gentleman ordered that bis body was not to be touched until decomposition was iu an advanced state. The widow accuses the medical geotemau who performed the autopsy of murder. May 17. The funeral of Mr Irving Bishop has been postponed in consequence of the allegations made by his widow that the autopsy was performed while her husband was in a cataleptic trance. An inquest will be held. May 18.
