TERRIBLE ACCIDENT.
Ottawa, April 3C.
A terrible railway accident is reported as having occurred at Hamilton, situated at the western extremity of Lake Ontario, The latest news to band respecting the occurrence states that an excursion train was thrown off the line. The carriages were telescoped, and alraoßt immediately flames broke oat in the wrecked train. An awful scene ensued in consequence of the great number of excursionists travelling by the train. Many were killed and burned. No fewer than eighteen bodies, each burnt almost to a cinder, have been recovered. Many passengers suffered severe injuries.
