Wheat—Tuscan is selling at 4s lid. The cargo of wheat by steamer Zealandia from San Francisco was sold here prior to its shipment, and is to go into consumption on its arrival.
ENGLISH MARKETS

New Zealand hemp, £3415s to £35
The English wheat market shows a slight advance, but the Continental is unchanged, and the American is declining continuously. Eor Australian new crop on passage sellers ask 375; for New Zealand wheat on passage, 34s 9d; Australian flour, superfine, averages 28s; New Zealand flour, patent, averages 25s 6d. Tallow—Medium mutton, 245; do beef, 235,
Up to date 229,000 bales of wool have been catalogued at the wool sales, of which 223,400 hare been sold. April 28.
American dealers are buying crossbreds to a large extent at wool sales, and it is expected prices will slacken when the demand for the United States ceases.
April 29. Low crossbreds are a trifle easier, Other wools are firm. Sugar is relapsing. German beet i» now quoted at 21b 9d.
