PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH, TEMUKA.
TO THE EDITOR,
Sib, —ln your report of the balancesheet of the Primitive Methodist Church a discrepancy appears which I wish to rectify. The report was a good one, but did not reach far enough. Some in reading it were disappointed, as this effort was intended to wipe out the debt owing for interest. As the report showed, the debt was £l3 16s, and receipts £5 19a Ad, while promises to the amount of £2 7s 6d were to be paid. But this was for the interest alone. There are further premises to the amount of £2 for providing the tea. With your consent 1 will also state that the proceeds of tea and collection were £5 3s 6d. Total about £l6 10s 4d. Thanking friends for their liberal assistance, and you, Sir, for the space, I am, etc., J, B, Epps. Arowbenua, April 22nd.
