The District Court at Auckland was erased for two days hearing tho action County Council v. Standard Insurance Company, to recover £2OO on a bond issued by the company in respect o£ G. V. Bates, The defence was principally that the plaintiff county had not observed the conditions of the contract, in that checks of cash balances and yearly audit of tho accounts had not been applied to •tost Bites’s accuracy and honesty. The jury found for defendants with coats. The Yon.
