RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Temujca—Monday, April 15,'1889, [Before Captain Wray, R.M.j CIYIL CASES. W. Q-. Aspinall v. Edward Hornbrook—Claim £2O, amount of dishonored promissory note. Judgment by default with costs. Davidson v. Edgeworth—Claim £47. Mr Hay appeared for plaintiff, and stated that defendant’s solicitor, Mr White, had requested him to apply for an adjournment for 14 days, as he was unable to aitend. The application was granted. UNBEG-ISTERED DOGS. Bernard Toner, charged with having three unregistered dogs in his possession, pleaded that they had since been registered.—Eined 10s each, without costs. John Malarkey, for one dog, was fined a similar amount. Henry Eendall was charged with having one dog unregistered. He submitted that prior to the information being laid the dog was registered. —Case dismissed.
Isaac TJden, for a similar offence, mad© a like plea, and the case was dismissed.
Daniel Angland was charged with having one dog unregistered, and pleaded that it was six months, but not seven months old. He was unaware of the. period limited fop registration..— Fined 10s, without costs.
William Budd, for two unregistered dogs, was fined 10s each. O, McCarthy, for one dog, submitted that it was registered prior to the information being laid.—Case dismissed. The Court then rose.
