London, February 23. "Wheat—The tone of the English market is steady. The Continental market is unchanged; American is inclined to buoyancy. For Australian cargoes, new crop on passage, sellers are asking 39s 3d; buyers offer 38s 9d. Oats Common colonial sorts are quoted at 21s 6d. Peas are quoted at 32s 6d, Tallow—At auction to-day 1975 casks were offered and 500 sold. Mutton, medium, 25s 6d; beef, 24s 6d.
