TIMARU WOOL SALES

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report holding their third sale of the season, at the Assembly Eooms, on Tuesday. The total number of bales offered by four was 545, of which we catalogued 475 and 28 bags. The bulk of our catalogue was merinos, for which there was a strong demand. Every lot was competed for with great spirit, and brought from Id to lid more than last sale. The half and crossbred on offer were stragglers’ lots, of only inferior quality, and for which there was a fair competition. The result ot the sale was very satisfactory,
