WILFUL DAMAGE OF PROPERTY.

Christchurch Jan. 16. Eden George, the well-known photographer, on going to business this morning found that the studio had been entered during the nigbtand the apparatus damaged so as to be useless. The cameras, all but one, were cut, the bottoms of the chairs ripped open, the backgrounds spoiled, the glass negatives smashed, and photos torn up. The perpetrators are supposed to have got in at a back window and wedged op the front door, to prevent it being opened while inside. Eden George estimates his loss at £SOO. [Aeother telegram states that Mr George estimates the damage done at £looo.]
