A horrible outrage is being investigated in the police court here. A man named Griffen is charged with the brutal murder of a native at Esperance Bay. It is alleged that Griffen, with the assistance of another black-fellow, whom he compelled to take part in the outrage, did the native to death by pouring red hot embers over his neck and abdomen, and horribly mutilating him with fire and forked sticks. Griffen then knocked what life remained out of the unfortunate fellow by jumping on him till ha was dead. December 22. The man Griffen, charged with the brutal murder of a blackfellow at Lake Esperance, has been acquitted. The evidence in the case was very conflicting,
