Bbubaxi, Dm. 7. At the Aquatic Carnival to-d.»y f the first of two haats wu between Matterson, dearie, anal Beaob. Ike two former foaled, and Bsach was deolared the winner of the beat. The second heat resulted as follows: Kemp 1, Neilson 2, Stansbary 3. The last two in these heats then rowed a third heat, which resulted as follows: Searle 1, Matterson 2, Staosbury 3, Neilson 4. Deo. 8. The foul which ooourred in the grand inter* colonial sculling contest between Searle; Beach, and Matterson, in which Beaoh was awarded the first plaoe, has led to a good deal of illfeeling, and Beaoh has expressed ;his determination not to row in the final heat, owing to the oonduct of Searle, who, he considers, forced the foul. The taotios of the champion and his trainer,, Matterson, have met with general disapprobation. The inal heat will be rowed on Tuesday.
