Sydney, December 3. Reports from Central Cumberland district show that serious damage has been done to fruit crops by the drought. There will be a loss of sixty per cent, of apples and grapes. The rains have ceased and tbey will not do much good unless more fall*. At Armidale, despite the recent rain, the wheat crop is a complete failure. Flour has risen £4 per ton, and boy is selling at £7. Bread, potatoes, and dairy produce have advanced fifty per cent. The weather reports from different parts of the continent to-day show that in Victoria the weather is fine, though threatening in some parts of the colony, In South Australia (he weather is fine and hot without any rain. In Queens, land rain was pretty general all over the country on Saturday and Sunday. Light showers are falling to-day.' The rain has had the effect of greatly improving the agricultural and pastoral prospects.
