In the House of Commons, daring the discussion on the Irish estimates, Mr Gladstone violently attacked Fr Balfour's Irish administration, and charged him with being responsible for the Mitchelstown affair, and the deaths of Mr John Mahdeville, and Mr Kinsell. Mr Balfour replied to the. charges in dotail, and commented on the extraordinary weakness of the Opposition shown in this constant recooking of exploded complaints against hie administration, and the afcsurd charges levelled ut him.
