TEMUKA TOWN BOARD.

She monthly meeting of tho Temuka Town Board was held last evening. Present— Messrs G. J. Mason, P. Ooira, 8. Clinch, and J. Blyfch. Mr Blyth was voted to the ohair. MINUTES!. The minutes of the last meeting wjro r?ad and confirmed. CORKESPONBENCK. Correspondence was read— From Mr F, W. Stubbs, clerk Giraldine County Council, stating that the second in* sialment (£lO 9* 10d) of the Board's contribution to the Charitable Aid Board became due on Dee. 1, and requesting the payment of same.—Passed for pajment. TINDERS. Tenders for oontraot Wo. 16—asphalting in Main South Road on salt side from Commerce street to Wood street, and from High stieet to Wood street on west side, a distanee of 30 chains more or less—were dealt with as follows:—W. Hopkinaon, £138; M. Flaherty, £129 Si ; Thomas Andrews, £llß ; T. Maloney and Co., £lO5 9s 7d; Moaaghan and Laing, £lO3 2i; R. B. Sibley, £95 16s i P. O'Mally, £7O 2b 6d. On the motion of Mr Clinch seconded by Mr Coira, the tender of Menrs Mocaghan and Laing was accepted. On the motion of Mr Olinoh, seconded by Mr Mason, Mr Gho. Dyson was appointed Clerk of Works at 8s per day. OVBESBEB'S BBPOBT. The overseer's report for the past month was wad as follows : "I have tke honor to report that ainoe last Board day one man has been employed to date —24 days clearing out watertableß, &o. This time of the year one man will be required constantly clearing out watertables. The balanoe in back last Board day was £224 19a lid, and after paying last month's accounts, amounting to £Bl Os 4d, there is » balance of £192 lis lid. "G. Dyson, "Clerk." ACCOUNTS.
