RIFLE SHOOTING.
The remainder of the first round of firing for the cup presented by Messrs Hallentein Bros, to the Geraldine Bills Corps took place at the range, Geraldine, yesterday. The weather was excellent for shooting. Only fire men had to fire to complete the round. Captain Pearpoint was in charge of the men. The following are the results: —
Sergeant Flemming thus wins the cup in this round with the score of 36, The second round takes place in three months. The cup bai to be won twice in succession or three limes at intervals to become the absolute property of any competitor.
