RIFLE SHOOTING.
The members of the Geraldine Eifle corps, under Liout. G. Ward, fired part ot the first round for the handsome challenge cup pre* tented to the corps by Messrs fiallenstein Bros., yesterday. Tho remainder of he first,round will be fired off on Thutsdny next. Tha cup has to be won twioe, before it b comes the pro* party of any member. The conditions of the gbooiing were 200, 300, and 500 yards ranges, five shots at each range, regulation- targets and scoricg, The weather was fine, but a fierce tun and variable bcotze militated against big scoring.
