A memorandum was received from the Board of Education, informing the Collmiiiee that the sum of £2 10s had been paid into the Bank, being grant for sinking well at the school; also*stating that the Board had appointed a Committee to draw up regulations re leting teachers’ residences.—Ajlong .discussion took place on this question, some being of opinion that the teacher should insure the building and pay for all repairs; also for keeping the fences trimmed. It was ultimately decided to leave the matter in abeyance till a report was received from the Committee appointed by the Board. An account for £1 19s 9d was received and passed for payment, the same being for "the new bell, water tank, rope for swing, etc. The Chairman .and Mr McLeod reported having received two tenders for cutting fences, etc.—viz.: P.
