PARNELL COMMISSION.
London, September 17
The Press generally eulogises the attitude taken, by Sir Charles >Hsnnen at the preliminary proceedings. The Times, however, makes no comment at all. The Daily News claims that the decision of the Commission, requiring the Times to open the case and produce documents, vindicates (he contention which the Liberals have made all along.
September 18,
It is believed that the Parnellites will endeavor to proye that the Times employed private defectives, who made use of a forged document and suborned the witnesses in connection with the charges made against them by that paper. A report is current to the effect that the Times will apply for a writ odiaheas corpus to obtain the attendance of those Invincibles who are serving life sentences for the Phoenix Park murders to give evidence to connect the Land and National Leagues with the murderers.
