A sharp shook of earthquake was felt at ten minutes to eight last night. Slight vibrations were felt dating the past week. Kaikouba, September 17.

A short sharp earthquake shook was felt here at half-past seven o’clock yesterday morning and a slight one thirty-five minutes later. The duration of the first was not very distinct, being more like a sharp wrench.
