The length on the Waihi terrace road and the water table from the Geraldine Hotel .to the Pleasant Yalley road has been completed: except the hand floating and dressing, also a start mkde on the lower length, which I expect to be all laid down and finished in* a week or nine days at the outside. Considerable inconvenience was- experienced until I obtained the rammer we are using how in finishing the work in the water table. 1 may say that instead of having only eight or nine men on at one time, the weather being most unfavorable for asphalting, 1 took advantage of the fine weather, r putting on all the men I could to push the, work on, but now that the greater. part of tbe work is done, it ■ will be necessary to reduce the number to about five to continue the work of floating and finishing. I have not been able to do anything at present with the footpaths near Mr Sutherland’s house, nor the creek near Baughen’e,- and other minor matters that need attention. All the rate notices have been made out, and are being delivered, so that in a day or ‘ two the whole of them will be delivered upon the parties liable. The receipts for the month have been — rents, £2 7s; dog fees, 18s 6d; leases, £1 Is.—l am, etc., “C. E. Sheeeatt.” ■A number of men at present en- ' gaged upon the asphalting were selected to be retained until the work is finished. 1 ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £lO6 18s 4d were passed for payment, and the Board resolved itself into a LOCAL BOARD OF HEALTH. The Inspector e£ Nuisances’ report was read, but necessitated no action being taken, and the Board adjourned.
