RAUKAPUKA LICENSING COMMITTEE.
The quarterly meeting of this Committee was held in the Courthouse, Geraldine, yesterday. Present Messrs VV. U. Slack (Chairman), A. El. Brisco, 0. Q. Tripp, and W. E. Barker. MINUTES.' The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. INSPECTOR'S REPORT. The Inspector’s report up m ibe licensed houses in the district was read, and considered sat s factory. THE LICENSING ACT. The Clerk was instructed to ascertain if there had been any amendment in the Licensing Act to amalgamate any riding or road district with (own districts, REPORTS. The Clerk was also instructed to write to Mr G. S. Cooper, Under Secretary, rt quarterly report and annual report, as per Inspector’s report. Mr Baiker proposed, Mr Tripp seconded, and it was carried-*, 41 That the several hotelkeepers in the Ilaukapukt Licensing District do, after this dale, at each quarterly meeting of the Licensing Committee, supply to the same for their guidance, a correct statement of the number of travellers who have stayed the night, or had a meal at their hostelries, stating, when possible, their names and occupations ; also, the number of travellers who nad baited tbsir horses, a book to bo kept [for the purpose, and 1 produced every Court day, This being all the business the Committee adjourned.
