IRISH AFFAIRS.
London, July 27. The Irish Methodists hava memorialised the Wesleyan Conference, now aitling, protesting against Home Rule being granted to Ireland, The Irish party are greatly incensed at Ibis action, regarding it as hostile to the country and unpatriotic. Mr James O’Kelly, member for Roscommon, arrested on a charge of inciting to disobey the Crimes Act, has been admitted to bail. The evictions on the Wray estate, Rathkeale, Limerick, have been most yiolently opposed, July 28. It is reported that, acting on the pressure of Mr Gladstone’s party, Mr Parnell is likely to bring an action against the Times in Scotland, unless the scope of the Judicial Commission is limited. Mr O’Donnell intends to move for a new trial against the Times. July 29. At the inquest on the body of the late Mr Mandeville, the jury returned a verdiet that death resulted from inflammation caused by the brutal and unjustifiable treatment to which he was subjected in Tnllamore gaol, The jury protested against political prisoners being treated in the same manner as criminals. Rome, July 25. Cardinal Moran had another interview with the Pope to-day. He leaves on a visit to Ireland to-morrow. J
