The well-known pursuits of this gentleman in the study of Science we need only to remind the public of to assure them that on Science such a collection has never before been seen in Canterbury, and will well repay a visit from the scientist, teacher, student, snd lover of nature. It comprises works on astronomy, the microscope, I meteorology, botany, physiology, chemistry, mineralogy, physics, elc., etc. Travels, biography,, histry, poetry 'are yery largely represented. Schiller, Byron, Shakespeare, Barns, Goethe, the Aldine Poets, Poets of England, America, and Franco are all represented here. Glaisher, Stanley, Liyingstone, Bqrkhardt, Sohlieman, Layard, > Cook, Nordenechoff, Marcopolo, Races of Mankind, Countries of North and South America, Persia, India, Turkestan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Russia, Siberia,: France, Germany, Italy, Arabia, South Soa Islands, Victoria, R.d. Wales, South Australia, Queensland,'New Zealand, and many other countries are all represented m this choice selection. . Theology, and the study of sacred subjects, are also found in a few of the works of Fuller, Henry Fawcett. Brown, and others, both anoisut and modern writars.
