WRECK OF THE PLEIONE.

Otaki, March 16.

The Pleione went ashore at Waikanae between Wellington and Foxton, at 2 a.m., and tbe Captain deoided to wait till daylight before attempting to land, and then suoooeded in getting ashore without any assistance from the shore. Three boats were lowered, and were placed in charge of the captain, first mate and second mate.
