GERMAN AFFAIRS.
Berlih - , March 13.
As previously telegraphed the corpse of the late Emperor was conveyed from the Royal Palace to the Cathedral on Sunday night. The profession, headed by the Prussian Corps of the Guards, left the palace at midnight in the midst of a blinding snowstorm, and was composed of the Royal Princes, Generals of the Army, Ministers, and other notabilities. Torchlights were carried by the soldiers, and the scene was a most weird and imposing spectacle. The body of the late Emperor is now lying in sta'e in the Cathedral, and is being visited by enormous crowds of people. The funeral takes place on Friday. There will then be a most solemn service in the Cathedral, and a State procession will follow the remains of the late Emperor to the Royal Mausoleum at Charlottenburg. The Emperor Frederick takes the oath of allegiance on Saturday, He has issued an address, in which he says ii will ba his endeavor to rule in the spirit of his father ; that it will be one of his first duties to maiutain the efficiency of the army and navy, especially the latter, which he says hns important duties to perform in.assisting to maintain colonies which should be acquired as fields for German emigration. The Emperor declares that be is careless of glory ; that it will be his constant aim to secure the comfort and the best interests of the people. He hopes to make Germany a centre of peace. Ho has addressed a letter to Prince Bismarck, in which h'e expresses his gratitude to him, and relies oil his advice and assistance to avoid \iolent political changes. His Majesty urges the observance of religious toleration, the support of economio progress and the enforcement of economical idministration in order to lighten taxation, A bulletin, issued to-day, states that the Emperor Frederick's health is in a favorable condition, and it is also tnnounced that the issue of regular bulletins has been stopped. Prince Bismarck is indisposed, and has been ordered perfect rest by his medical advisers.

The Prince of Naples, son of the King.of Italy, will represent Italy, and General Billot will represent France at Kaiser Wilhelm's funeral. London, March 14.
The PriDce of Waes, Prince Albert Victor, and the Duke of Cambridge, left to-day for Berlin. Brisbane, March 15.
At a meeting of the German Club, he'd last evening, it was determined to establish a fund to assist the distressed Germans \n memory of the late Emperor.
