ENGLISH MARKETS.
London, Feb. 17. The quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom amounts to 1,665,000 quarters. Feb, 18.
More spirit was manifested at the wool sales to-day, and merinos and combing wools maintained opening prices. Medium inferior scoured and greasy are barely equal to the best December rates. Three-fifths of the quantity offered was purchased by foreign buyers, American buyers purchased 3000 bales,
New Zealand flour, ex store, 22s 6d, Galvanised iron. Orb brand, £l3 10s. Feb. 20.
At the wool sales to-da3 12,000 bales were offered. Priees remain unchanged.
