TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — A writer from Temuka to the Lyttelton Times asked, What is the brilliant star seen now in the morning ? It is the planet Vanns, as suggested by me about three weeks ago in your paper, but not having seen it when I wrote I would not affirm it. The star called the Star of Bethlehem is due within five years at the longest estimate, but that will not be seen here.—lam, etc., LB.A. February 16th, 1888.
