DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS.

At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday the following business was transacted ; Fat Cattle—Only 94 were yarded, There was no improvement in values, which rnled about the Btme as at last sale. Bullocks sold at £5 2s 6d to £8 17a 6d ; cnws, £2 10s to j 63 ss. Store Cattle—Dcnald Beid and Co. •old privately for .Mews Murray, Roberts, and Co. (Gladbrook estate;, 20 pure polled Angus and shorthorn heifers and bulls to 20gs each, Fat Sheep— Mi were penned, mostly ewes, with an odd small line of wethers. There was a brisker demand-than a$ last sales, with an advance of about Is to Is 6d a head oyer last week's ruling rates. Crossbred wethers soil at 8s 6d to lis 6d ; crossbred ewes, 6s to 10s, Fat Lambs—7l6 yarded, ranging from inferior to prime. There was * fair sale for all on offer at prices about 6d to Is below last week, although an exceptionally prime pen brought lis 3d. Best sold at 6s to 8s; o'bers, 3s 6d to 65.6 d.

Pigs—33 yarded, which met a ready sale at last week's rates, viz., suckers, at Is 6d to 12s; stores, 19s to 245.

DUNEDIN WOOL SALES.

The first wool sales of the season at Dunedin were held on Thursday, There was a large attendance of local buyers and representatives of English and Continental buyers, The bidding was brisk, especially for fine half and crossbred s light in grease, the prices being Id to Id higher than at the corresponding sales last year, Greasy half and crossbred, light in grease, sold at 7|d to lOd ; do, heavy in grease and badly got up, 6d to 7gd.

WEST COAST STOOK SALES. At the cattle Bale at Greymouth on Wednesday afternoon, 86 bullocks were offered and 23 withdrawn, The average prices were—Beef, 17s 6d to 18s per 1001 b ; sheep, 8s 6d to 9s 5d ; lambs, 7b 6d to 10s. All the stock was from the West Coast of the North Island.
