WOODBURY SCHOOL COMMITEE.

A meeting of the above Committee was held on Monday, December 6fch, 1887. Present —Messrs Dean (Chairman), Flatman, Hammond, Heatley, Middlemiss, and Gick, minutes. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. Correspondence was read— From the Board of Education, stating that the Inspector would hold the annual standard examination on Thursday, the 15th inst. THE PRIZE FUND. Catalogues of prize books from various firms were acknowledged. Proposed by Mr Flatman, seconded by Mr Gick, and carried—“ That a concert and hall be held on Monday, December 26th, in aid of the Prize Fund, and the price of admission be: Adults, 2s; children, Is; school children, 6A Admission to ball: Gents., 2s; ladies, free, and that the following gentlemen acc as a Committee of management:—The Chairman, Messrs Greaves, Hammond, and the mover.” THE HOLIDAYS AND TREAT. Resolved—“ That the school close on Friday the 23rd at noon, and the children’s treat he held on the afternoon of the same date, and that Messrs Dean (Chairman), Greaves, Heatley, and Gick, carry out the same. The school to re-open on Monday, January —, 1888. VISITORS. Mr Flatman stated that he found all working satisfactorily in the school, A new gate post was required at the wicket entrance. Resolved attend to this matter.” ACCOUNTS. Accounts to the amount of £6 8s 6d were passed for payment. The meeting then terminated.
